WILD

36 in. x 36 in.

Oil on Canvas

Wild explodes with the electric color and energy of Arizona’s spring wildflowers. Prickly pear blossoms, desert lupine, Mexican poppies, and scattered purple blooms are abstracted into a layered composition that feels both lush and kinetic. Set against a vivid red ground, the forms twist, overlap, and burst forth, echoing the exuberance of desert life after rain.

The artist combines expressive brushwork with collage-like visual rhythms, capturing not only the beauty of these native plants, but also the wild vitality of the landscape itself. Desert Bloom is less a still life than a celebration of survival, rooted in place and bursting with motion.
